Nobody expected 2020 to go to hell. A new year is supposed to be for new beginnings, a fresh start, but within weeks, the year turned to be a year we’re all remember and not for anything good. When I started to read about what was happening, I thought that it was just within certain areas of the world. Nobody expected to be anything serious. I thought that people were just over reacting and that they were just acting like it was the end of the world. Especially when it came to stocking up on supplies and not leaving anything for people who needed it the most.
Once it began to spread to other parts of the world and realizing how serious it was, it really made you think about how something like this reminds you of something that could have happened 100 years ago. People were talking about how 2020 is the beginning of what could be history repeating itself. With everything that happened in the 1930s, people losing jobs, not being able to afford to feed your family, it makes you think how similar this year as been. Since the lockdown, people couldn’t continue on with going to work every day and a lot of people lost their jobs without knowing if they would be able to return due to not knowing when and if this was going to end. Honestly, with how it’s going right now, I don’t think it’s going to end any time soon.
People are not taking this seriously and it shows. The more people who think they’re better than everyone, the longer this is going to take to end. There are people who can’t keep living the way we are because they just can’t simply afford it or have pre-existing medical conditions that need around the clock care and one slip up like not wearing a mask can put them in a dangerous situation. Anyone can get it, no matter how old you are, if your healthy, exercise, do the right thing, you can come in contact with the wrong person and that’s it.
I hope that people learn something from 2020 and realize that our world will never be the same unless we take full responsibly of what is happening. If we just listen and take charge then we could have been in better shape weeks ago and we could have been back to a some what old routine before all this happened, but people are being stupid and idiotic about something they know nothing about. They are not educated on what’s going on in the world right now and they are the ones who get it, spread it and hurt the people close to them. If this keeps up any longer, the world is going to be more in worse shape then we get over imagine.
2020 is a year for the history books. How would you explain this to your grandchildren? Would you want them to live a world like this?
