Not Every TV Show Needs A Spinoff

Just because supporting characters have good chemistry doesn’t mean they need a spinoff. People want to know what’s going on in the characters' lives after the show has ended or they feel like the show ended in a weird way and they want to have a conclusion, but in all honestly, not every TV show needs or deserves a spinoff or a reboot.

Having a TV show come back after a few years or even a decade is something that’s normal nowadays, but are TV shows making a comeback worth the time and money? Years after the show has come to an end, a lot of the actors have moved on from the show and are starting to do other things or they’ve had a bad experience on the show.

So much time has passed since the original show had aired, (unless you watch the show on a regular basis) fans forget what happened or fans will go back and nitpick the storylines and come up with their own theories on what would happen in the spin off or in the reboot. It's better to leave the show where it is.

Having actors come back to a show just to tie things up between characters is something that is getting old and outdated. A lot of shows will end and have no special meaning, other shows end with more questions than answers.

Even if a show does get a spin off or gets picked up a few years later, it's not going to be as good as the original. The writing will not be the same since there’s going to be a new team of writers who haven’t seen the original and write weak storylines that don’t make sense or don’t tie in to the original.

The TV and Film industry are running out of ideas and need to bring back shows and films so they can keep making money. There’s so many new ideas that need to be explored, but the industry is afraid of trying something new. There’s no need to bring back something that’s already been done a million times.
