Why Bring Him Back

Once again, fans of the show are coming up with theories on what’s happening on 911. A call sheet was posted online and it showed that there was going to be a storyline involving the parents of a child that Buck helped conceive since the husband who was a friend of Buck from way back when wasn’t able to get his wife pregnant and had asked Buck to help them have a baby. Fans started to call that baby Buck’s donor baby. The names of the actors who played the child’s parents were listed on the call sheet and people started to put two and two together. 

Buck had since lost contact with that friend and had never seen the child since he delivered the baby on his couch, but all of a sudden, the couple shows up when the child, Theo, now 4 years old goes missing from a daycare and it's obvious that the child is Buck’s. 

Theo’s parents are having a tough time with how Theo was acting and they wanted to know if it was something that may have been passed down. It seemed like maybe it was an ADD/ADHD situation and they wanted to see if Buck may have been the same when he was a kid. We may never know since something happens and now Theo and possibly Buck’s life gets turned upside down. 

There are theories that people have regarding what's going to happen to Theo and what it could mean for Buck. Is there a chance that Buck will end up with Theo since he is the boy’s biological father, did his parents put Buck in their will and have him be the boy’s legal guardian or will Theo end up in foster care since Buck has no legal right over the child? 

We don’t know the whole story and with what was going on with Buck’s addiction just a few episodes earlier, will Buck be able to mentally care for a child or would it be all too much and he will relapse? Would Buck get too attached and is told by whoever is taking care of Theo that he’s overstepping? 

I know that there’s a reason why Theo was brought back, but how long can this storyline last? Do they really have a story for him or are they just using him as a way to have Buck figure things out and hope he finds what he’s looking for? I hope that this isn’t a jump the shark situation where they bring in a child and hope for the best. 

There are other kids on the show, but they've been part of the show since the beginning and they are related to a main character. It just seems weird that they bring a kid in now. Given the fact that Theo was a donor baby and he's biological Buck's son, there's no real connection or history with the characters. Why wait 4 years? There should have been some sort of agreement that Buck was somewhat involved in Theo's life even if Buck was the one that went no contact. After the storyline ended, that part of Buck's life ended and there was no need to continue on with that story, but there should have been some contact.

Whatever happens to the child, I hope they treat him well and not use him as a reason for Buck to be reckless. Maybe this will help Buck focus on himself and try and understand why he is the way he is.
