Here is a little Christmas question and answer for you to enjoy. This is something lighthearted and fun to read. It’s different from the usual things I talk about.

What is your favourite winter beverage?

My go to drink is a peppermint mocha with no whip from Starbucks. I don’t get Starbucks that often. I can go months without going, but if I needed a little pick me up or a treat I’ll get a peppermint mocha with whip. You can get it any time of year, but it hits different in the fall and winter months.

Do you put up your tree before or after Thanksgiving?

Since the Canadian Thanksgiving is in October. Its better it wait until after my birthday in November which sometimes falls on Thanksgiving if you’re in the States.

How early do you start Christmas shopping?

I casually shop the whole year. If I see something for someone earlier then I’ll get it and save it for Christmas. If I come across something then I’ll get it in that moment. You don’t know if it will be there later.

Did you ever try to stay up and wait for Santa?

My brother and I tried to one year. We got bored and went to bed.

What is your least favorite thing about Christmas?

Not be able to do Christmas things with someone. I wish I had a partner to be able to do all things Christmas with. There are things I want to, but I want to do them with someone.  

What is your favourite outdoor activity to do in the winter?

As much as I don’t like the snow, but if there is snow at some point at Christmas, probably getting bundled up and going for a walk.

How do you get cozy during the holidays?

Pyjamas/sweatpants, an oversized sweatshirt and a blanket. If I don’t have to leave the house, then I’m getting all comfortable.

Name one decoration item you hate to put up on the Christmas tree.

Tinsel is the worst thing to put on the tree. It gets everywhere and you can never get it off. I would throw clumps of tinsel onto the tree while my dad insists putting it on one strain at a time.

Macaulay Culkin got lost in New York City in Home Alone: 2. Which city would you have chosen had you been the director?

Movies are always being filmed in Vancouver, but there are never movies based in Vancouver. Get the cast to explore the city and get lost trying to navigate the SkyTrain and the bus system.

What is the coolest Christmas gift you have ever received?

I would have to say getting tickets to the Rolling Stones. I’ve been wanting to see them since I was a kid and I was supposed to see them in 2020 but the concert got postponed, then they took Vancouver off the tour then Charlie Watts died, so I didn’t think I would ever get to see them. Ironically, I had got my dad their newest album for Christmas not knowing they were going on tour.

What’s one holiday song you just cannot stand?

I can’t stand Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” That song makes me want to scream. I will never understand the hype over Mariah Carey or Beyoncé.
