What I’ve Learnt From Doing Blogmas

Blogmas as taught me a lot, but it also taught me patience. When I have a lot to say and have a lot of posts written and ready to go, I want to publish them online all at once. I want them to be seen and read by everyone as soon as possible, but I have to restrain myself from posting to many to soon. I don’t want to feel like people are pressured into reading my blog so I have to be patient and try and space them out. Give people a break.
Trying to come up with things to talk about was also a challenge was well since I didn’t want to repeat myself and talk about something I’ve already talked about. I had to go back to the beginning of my blog and see what’s already been said and because it was the holidays, I wanted to add a little Christmas spirit and have some fun with trying to remain on topic on what my blog is about.
Blogmas was something I wanted to try and I did it. It was something I tried to do in the past, but I didn’t think people would have been interested so I never did it. This year I wanted to try something new. It was out of my comfort zone. It was something that put my skills to the test. It was something that I didn’t think I would have done if my blog wasn’t something I was passionate about.
It was hard work to not only come up blog ideas but posting a lot more in a month than I ever did before. I think December is going to be a very busy month since there is a lot more things for people to read and look forward to.
I’m glad I was able to challenge myself and be able to get it done without stopping half way through. I made a commitment and I stuck to it. I hope you enjoyed blogmas and I hope you keep coming back.
